The Dee Buchanan Studio of Dance opened on Church Street in Middletown, MD, in 1992. Owner and director Dee Buchanan is a life-long Middletown resident and a graduate of Middletown High School and Hood College. For Dee, the ability to share her passion for dance with the youth of Middletown Valley is a dream come true.
Over the years, the studio’s programs have grown and evolved. In its opening season, the class genres included just ballet, tap and jazz. Today, dancers ages two through adult can still find classes in ballet, tap and jazz – as well as in lyrical, modern, hip-hop, musical theatre, pointe, acrobatics, and contemporary.
