Join in celebrating the heritage of the Middletown community with 18th Century and Civil War Living History Encampments, heritage children’s games and crafts, and great entertainment including Frederick County’s The Reagan Years and bluegrass band Flint Hollow.
Start your morning at 10:00 am when the Monumental City Ancient Fife & Drum Corps leads the Heritage Parade down Main Street.
This year’s honorary Grand Marshall of the Heritage Parade is
Ron Engle. A life long resident of Frederick County and a Middletown
Resident for 39 years, Mr. Engle represents community leadership and
involvement. Mr. Engle has taught in the Frederick County Public School System for 33 years, 27 of those years at Middletown High. He was inducted into The Frederick County Sports Hall of Fame in 1988 and was coach of the year numerous times throughout his career. Mr. Engle continues his love of teaching sports through his involvement with girls basketball programs in the Middletown schools. The community wants to thank Mr. Engle and his wife, Dottie for their years of service and contribution to the Middletown community.
Throughout the day visit features such as the Civil War Medical Hospital in the Zion Church, partake in the exciting Middletown Heritage Hunt, see the quilt display and raffle at The Christ Reformed Church, join the Heritage Festival Pet Contest and visit all the crafters, artisans and businesses from the tri state area.

Note: Main Street will be closed from approximately 6:00 am to 8:30 pm on the day of the festival. The festival area includes Prospect Street down to Walnut Street and side streets within that area will also be closed. Parking available off of School House Drive at the school campus. Take the Good Time Trolley down to the festival site and don’t forget to visit the Braddock Community Show at the Middletown Elementary School.
