The Festival Parade kicks off at 10am with our Grand Marshall, Randy Sowers, out in front.
From there, it’s anybody’s guess – cheerleaders being thrown in the air, beagles bounding down the street, fire engines throwing candy to kids, and dancers of all ages strutting their stuff. Come see what happens this year!
Fun for All Ages From 2 to 92, the Middletown Heritage Festival and Parade is a great time. Crafts, historical demonstrations, classic cars, live entertainment, food, artisans, and more. Bring the kids or grandparents for a fun day celebrating the heritage of our area.
We are so grateful for the support of our loyal sponsors. Please take a moment to visit their booths at the festival or their websites to see what they’re all about!
Far enough from the city to be quaint, close enough to enjoy the attributes of the city, Middletown, Maryland is ideally situated in the beautiful Middletown Valley of Maryland. Founded in 1767, Middletown is steeped in American history — from the mid 1600’s and Colonial settlements to the new millennium and high-tech biological engineering, Middletown contributes at every turn of the page.
BBQ, ice-cream, seafood, homemade sausages, Greek favorites, caramel popcorn, and don’t forget the homemade apple dumplings. There’s no beating festival food and ours is some of the best!
The festival boasts lots of vendors, including crafts, home decor, hand-crafted jewelry, and original artwork, as well as info and free goodies from local organizations.
If only for a day, see what life was like in the Middletown Valley 200 years ago and more. Watch live demonstrations, hear historical stories, visit the places they lived and worked, and even see the kind of medicines they used.
